Small chip carving blade forged from the high carbon steel.
The blade is filed and sanded, heat-treated (normalized, DET annealed, quenched, tempered twice)
Bevels on the blade very slight convex.
The blade comes stored safely in a beech wooden box.
The knife is great for chip carving because of its thin blade, it goes into wood easily
Also good for fine wood carving.
A knife is shaving sharp and mirror-polished.
The tang is rectangular but it fits nicely 6mm or 1/4″ hole. Before gluing degrease the tang.
It will come with tips on how to fit and glue it in the handle.

This knife is extremely well made. I haven’t handled it yet, but I’m sure it will not disappoint. I have to commend the maker on his packaging. Each blade comes inset into a piece of beech and tightly secured in place with string, so absolutely no harm can come to it during transit. I only wish all makers would do this. Highly recommended.
