Hand carved plum wood eating spoon
Plum wood eating spoon with leather strap. Perfect for hiking, or for breakfast at home. The strap comes in handy in hanging to dry after washing or fastening it to a backpack.
The spoon was carved from a plum wood tree branch from an apple/plum farm in Hardanger on the west coast of Norway. It was carved using only an axe and two kinds of knife. It has not been sanded which gives it a better tactile feeling and durability of the surface. The toolmarks also give it a more authentic look.
It was finished using a food-safe hardening oil. Hand wash only using soapy water. Do not leave to soak.
