This spoon was carved from a plum wood tree that was felled in Lofthus, Norway to make room for new plum trees on the farm.

It was carved using only an axe and two knives. The handle is kolrosed in a basket weave pattern. The finish is a food safe hardening oil.

Hand wash gently using soapy water. Don’t leave to soak. May benefit from a touch up with linseed oil or other hardening oil after some time.
