Carving wood into spoons, bowls, kuksa has to be one of life’s simplest and most soul nourishing pleasures. It is all the more enjoyable if you have invested in good quality knives that are comfortable to use for long periods.

Blade: 52100 carbon steel blade. Heat treated in molten salt. Flat grind cutting edge. Thin blade for less resistance when carving

Handle: Olive tree wood , oiled and waxed, copper rivet holds blade and handle together ( no epoxy glue).

How to sharpen wood carving knives:

For the best result and cutting performance of the blade, we recommend using a grinding stone with a maximum grit of 320 and honing the blade on the leather with a green polishing agent.
For soft wood or greenwood use low angles and for hard and dried wood add 3 degrees for best result and edge retention.
