Workshop Details
“The Next Level” workshop is aimed at those who already have some experience and want to improve their carving skills.

This workshop will focus on adding a “crank” or bend to the spoons. An essential skill to create spoons that function well and look great.

Focus on the way to add crank, as well as improving axe technique, will be the main subject of the day.

We will also cover:

  1.  Spoon Design & Ergonomics for function and strength
  2.  Smooth finishing cuts on dry wood
  3.  Tool maintenance & sharpening

Participant numbers are limited to 5 students per course. This is to ensure each student will receive 1 on 1 tuition throughout the day to perfect these new skills.

Please note this workshop is only suitable for those with some prior experience of carving with an axe. If unsure don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your current skill level.
