Cooking spoon blank

This is a great blank to carve a cooking or serving spoon out of. The round bowl can be carved deep for scooping food or left shallow if intended solely for cooking. It will also function well as both! I find that working with larger forms leaves more room for error and less finicky details. Every kitchen needs a favourite wooden cooking spoon.

Wood types: Depending on what’s in the shop I am most often working with – Beech, birch, alder, sycamore, or maple.
