Hi, I’m John from Australia.
I am first and foremost a qualified blacksmith who happened to become a toolmaker along the way. My tools are produced by hand forging and/or stock removal methods. All heat treatment is performed using more traditional methods gained through experience.
I use a variety of high carbon steels for the tools I produce and this does include reclaimed tool steels. I generally prefer to use Australian timbers for tool handles as a point of difference.
