I’m Joes and I am from Malaysia. I am a person who likes nature and I always go trekking, hiking and camping. Unfortunately, I had a serious injury in my lower back in the end of 2017, so I definitely had to stop my outdoor activities during that time. Meanwhile, I started my spoon carving journey.
Since then, I can’t tell you an exact figure of how many spoons I’ve carved but one thing for sure is, that I am completely addicted and without stop using simple hand tools such as an axe and a sloyd knife to make things. It has become a part of my life now.
Beside making wooden utensils, I also teach spoon carving occasionally and I really enjoy to share my knowledge, my skills and experience with others.
Last but not least, I have a wish. I hope every person can own at least one of their own wood spoon as an EDC, they bring it with them when they travel, so it can reduce a lot of plastic waste. Love the earth!
