I am Matias from Finland. I got introduced to spoon carving through bushcraft. It really struck me, and soon I found out that the time I spent carving around the campfire wasn’t enough. After that I’ve tried to create space for carving wherever I happen to be located physically and in life.

Greenwood carving and sloyd are something I had been searching for a long time. For me, carving wooden spoons combines so many things that I hold dear today: love for the outdoors, trees and forests but also handcrafts and DIY culture.

Plan is to enjoy making and hopefully inspire others.
