My name is Isak and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. When I am not busy carving, I work as a firefighter in central Stockholm and most of my free time in the city is spent in a basment as a wrestling coach. All the time left in the weeks I try to spend at Tovesta. Tovesta Skedbod (Tovesta Spoon Shed) is my slöjd alias and also the place where I do most of my work.
 
Tovesta is a cottage located deep in the woods about 100 k from Stockholm. This is the place I first got introduced to carving and whittling by my dad. Its my smultronställe (a cute swedish word for ones own super special place) and my biggest inspiration.
 
I do most of my work in green wood or somewhat seasoned wood and I do mostly spoons and ladles. But every once and a while I might get the urge to do something else. All my work is done with axe, slöjd knifes and hook knifes. I try to stay away from electrical tools and all my items have a knife finish, meaning no sandpaper of course. I would also like to thank everyone that helps us slöjd interested people get our hands on green wood. It brings a warmth to my heart to know that there is people out there that remembers that there is a lot more you can do with wood than just burn it 🙂
