Hi, my name is Jose, I’m à spanish living in France, south of France. I am à part-time physical therapist and part time woodworker, Green and dry. I have à woodshop here in Drôme provençale. I work with locally sourced wood, sustainable way of work. I only use handpowered tools and I am interested more than anything about traditional woodwork, trying to preserve all knowledge from pre-industrialisation. I’m big fan of Willie Sundqvist, Jögge Sundqvist, John Brown, Chris Williams, the furniture made by The Shakers… I have been making spoons for ten years already, that is how all started, then I moved into pole lathe, chair making and traditional hand woodwork. I strongly recommend everybody to try spoonmaking, is good for the body and the mind.
