Hand carved cherry wood spoon. It measures approximately 16 cm (6.25 in), and is perfect for eating dishes such as desserts, or serving condiments.

It is carved using only axe and knives. The bowl of the spoon is quite thin, which is only appropriate for spoons carved from a crook (the curvature of the bowl follows the fibres of a crooked branch), such as this one. This makes it strong and superior to straight grain spoons both visually and in tactile texture.

The wood is sourced locally from the west coast of Norway, and is carved in green wood condition, and subsequently dried.
