Kolrosing knife, Small carving knife, Hand forged
$91.00 VAT included (where applicable)
Small kolrosing knife from hand-forged high carbon steel blade and plum wood and a deer antler handle.
The blade is hand filed and hand-sanded, heat treated (normalized, quenched, tempered twice)
Bevels on the blade are high flat hand-filed (Scandi grind) V
The handle is protected with tung oil and buffed with beeswax
Its shape (angles) should give you more control and will tire your hands less than a rounded one.
The knife is great for kolrosing because of its thick blade, it leaves the thick line when kolrosing.
Not best at chip carving and carving. For carving check my carving set.
The knife is sharp and it comes with a hand stitched leather sheath.
