After popular demand, I managed to make a small batch of sloyd knives with handles made from birch bark and wet-moulded sheaths inspired by the Scandinavian puukko knife-making tradition.
This particular design was developed back in 2022 but was never released now.
The handle is crafted from oak wood and birch bark, paired with our popular 90 mm blade made from D2 steel — a premium steel known for its exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance. The blade features a Scandi grind, ideal for wood carving.
Each knife is shaped by hand. The blade tang has been extended and threaded to run through the entire handle, then secured with a Chicago hex screw.
