The Spoon Knife 60 is perfect for woodwork, including carving spoons, kuksas, and wooden bowls. It features a hand-forged blade, a decagonal handle, and a leather sheath. The blade is hollowed for easy sharpening, and the handle is crafted from Swedish ash wood, with decagonal facets that ensure long hours of comfortable use.
This forged blade is far sturdier and more rigid than blades cut from sheet metal. It features a strong backbone that prevents flexing, and its outer blade geometry ensures smooth, precise cuts. In contrast, sheet metal knives are often thinner, which can cause chattering during use due to a lack of rigidity. The forged blade provides greater stability, durability, and a more controlled carving experience, making it ideal for both professional and beginner carvers.
Crafted from 52100 steel, known for its high carbon content, the blade retains a sharp edge for an extended period. With a Rockwell hardness of 59 HRC, 52100 steel ensures excellent edge retention and durability, making it ideal for carving tools. The blade comes pre-sharpened, polished and ready for use. The Spoon Knife 60 comes with a hand-crafted leather sheath.
The Spoon Knife 60 is the result of a collaboration between the blacksmiths from StrongWay Tools in Ukraine and Dio from The Spoon Crank in Sweden. The knife is assembled by The Spoon Crank in Sweden.

1 review for The Spoon Knife 60
Nico ‘handgemaakt Geluk’ –
I recently purchased this spoonknife. I was really intrigued to find a off the shelf forged hooknife that wasn’t made from sheet metal.
It came super sharp out the box, heavy duty, quality leather sheath, and lovely handle.
The geometry of the spoonknife is spot on and really versatile. But mostly focused on cookers/eating spoons. Larger bowls would also be great.
Love the fact that this knife is super sturdy and rigid. Makes removing wood easy work.
The steel holds up a great edge. Even to harder woord like oak, beech and fruitwoods.
I would only suggest to have a longer handle option.
Al in all, a great price quality spoonknife. That will serve you a long time.
I love mine.
